Description
When a property developer; who has been seeking permission to build a large estate of exclusive houses near Wat’s Dyke on the outskirts of Oswestry, is found dead in the moat at Whittington Castle, suspicion falls on outspoken opponents of the proposal. An internet troll using the pseudonym Avenger Anarchist is top of the list. But there are others in the frame too, including a prominent church figure and members of the deceased’s family.
Following his success in solving the case of Edward Sillitoe, Oswestry CID are desperate to entice Detective Chief Inspector Gary Probert back from Telford to head the new investigation. For Probert, it’s also an opportunity to get to know Oswestry even better – and to see more of Elizabeth.
