Join us for an evening with Sara Pascoe, award winning comedian, writer and actor as she talks ‘in conversation’ about her side-splitting debut novel, Weirdo.

“I USED TO THINK MY MUM COULD SEE ME THROUGH THE CAT.”

Deep in Essex and her own thoughts, Sophie had a feeling something was going to happen and then it did. Chris has entered the pub and re-entered her life after Sophie had finally stopped thinking about him and regretting what she’d done.

Sophie has a chance at creating a new ending and paying off her emotional debts (if not her financial ones). All she has to do is act exactly like a normal, well-adjusted person and not say any of her inner monologue out loud.

If she can suppress her light paranoia, pornographic visualisations and pathological lying maybe she’ll even end up getting the guy she wants? Then she could dump her boyfriend Ian and try to enjoy Christmas.

Weirdo follows Sophie; feverishly anxious and working hard to be happy in her own skin – if only life wouldn’t make that so hard!

Sara will be ‘in conversation’ with broadcaster and presenter Simon Savidge. All tickets include a signed copy of the book for collection at the event.

The star of BBC2 stand-up special Sara Pascoe: LadsLadsLads and author of Sex Power Money is back with a debut novel!

Sara wrote and starred in her BBC2 sitcom Out of Her Mind, and is the celebrated host of BBC2’s The Great British Sewing Bee, BBC’s Last Woman On Earth, Dave’s Comedians Giving Lectures and Comedy Central’s Guessable.

Sara also wrote and performed the BBC Radio 4 series Modern Monkey and the BBC2 short Sara Pascoe vs Monogamy, which was inspired by her first book Animal. Her second book, Sex Power Money, was a Sunday Times bestseller, and the accompanying podcast of the same name garnered millions of listens and multiple award nominations during its run.
