Picador, Pizza & Prosecco

Picador AuthorsCome and join Booka Bookshop celebrate winning Independent Bookshop of the Year 2015, as we host a fun evening with Picador  authors, Pizza and Prosecco.

Not one, not two, but three Picador authors will be joining us to talk about their latest novels. Rebecca Wait, David Whitehouse and Sarah Butler will be in discussion with Editor of Year 2015, Francesca Main. Pizza and Prosecco will be served!

Rebecca Wait is the author of The View on the Way Down (Picador 2013). Her second novel, The Followers was published in May this year and is a powerful and gripping story about cults, manipulation and friendship.

David Whitehouse  is an award-winning novelist, journalist and screenwriter. His first novel, Bed, won the 2012 Betty Trask Award. His latest novel, Mobile Library was published in January 2015. It’s quirky, magical and full of heart and is a love-letter to unlikely families and a celebration of the adventures books can take us on.

Sarah Butler’s first novel, Ten Things I’ve Learn’t About Love, was published in 2013 . Her second novel, Before the Fire, is a moving portrayal of a country in crisis and follows a young man who found himself involved in the England riots of 2011. It was published in March this year.

We are delighted to be welcoming Rebecca, David and Sarah to Oswestry for what should be a great evening in the company of three exciting authors who’ve all had second novels recently published.
