Celebrating National Reading Group Day, Booka Bookshop and Oswestry Library present An Evening with Gaynor Arnold and Wendy Jones on Saturday 30th June – 7pm at Oswestry Library.

Gaynor Arnold’s first novel, Girl in a Blue Dress, based on the marriage of Charles Dickens, was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize 2008 and the Orange Prize for Fiction 2009. Her latest novel, After Such Kindness is inspired by Lewis Carroll and Alice is published on 5th July. Wendy Jones’ debut novel, The Thoughts & Happenings of Wilfred Price is a charming and moving depiction of love and secrecy, set against the rural backdrop of a 1920’s welsh village. It is published in paperback on 21st June.
