His job: to look for wildfires. An absorbing and hugely rewarding read that captures the wonder and grandeur of this most unusual job and place. Filled with Connors’ heartfelt reflections on our place in the wild, Fire Season is remarkable memoir. I love this book and all it seeks to capture.
