New website

How exciting it is to be writing our first blog for our new updated website. We hope you like it as much as we do! We’ve enjoyed working with a couple of great local businesses in making it happen – thanks to Kirsty Burgoine for the web design and Richard Stonehouse for the photographic images. Keeping the website up to date with all that is going on at Booka will now be so much easier.

The website goes live at a time when we have just celebrated our second birthday. We can’t believe how quickly the time has gone and how the shop has changed and developed in that time. We are planning to develop the website further after Christmas through the introduction on an online shop. Watch this space for further updates.

Just a quick plug for our forthcoming events this Autumn – we hope there is something for everyone. So excited to be welcoming baking guru Dan Lepard to Oswestry on November 5th. This event is generating loads of interest! Speaking of events, the programme for the third  Oswestry Festival of the Word,  to be held in March next year, is shaping up really well. We have some high profile authors confirmed, who will help put the town firmly on the literary map. More to follow on the Lit Fest in the coming months.
